Vintage Township: A Story of Smart Growth and New Urbanism
Paul Stell, CEO of Stellar Development Company and a Lubbock-based real estate developer, was determined to launch a new vision in new home construction for Lubbock, Texas. Based on a collaborative approach, Stell brought together a team of the best professionals in the homebuilding and construction industries to explore the creation of a new 160-acre master-planned subdivision within the city based on new urbanism and smart growth. After visiting and gleaning best practices from 103 traditional neighborhood developments in 27 states, Stell made the commitment to create Vintage Township--a community where distinctive architecture, traffic-calming streets, wider sidewalks, a walkable neighborhood and socializing were the norm and would be fostered.
Considered among the elite Lubbock homebuilders, Stell established this unique community in 2005 with a purpose to create the most special place in Lubbock—a place where not only property values would increase, but lasting relationships would be built and memories would be created that would last a lifetime. Firmly grounded in his resolve and dedication to the neighborhood, he, along with other staff members and vendors, proudly calls Vintage Township home and looks forward to seeing his vision become a reality in the years ahead.
