The Magnolia
Currently under construction and available for sale now, The Magnolia will be one of the homes featured in year's Parade of Homes. Romance itself is at the core of this Tudor Style home. With a front porch that is perfect for sitting out on a warm summer evening this home evokes delightful memories of storybooks. The long sloping roof line is charming and mimics the thatched roofs of English Country cottages.
This home was designed with a large flowing space so that views of the beautifully landscaped courtyard were captured from as many rooms as possible ---including the kitchen and living and dining and master suite. Once inside you will notice that the marvelous living room has a 14’ high vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors, a first floor master suite and a kitchen that is a cooks dream with rich stained maple cabinets, granite counter tops, custom vent hood and gas stainless appliances. The kitchen design produces the impression that the room has history with the wide, level island, the built in desk, and the differences in finishes.
The Master suite is roomy with a box ceiling, master bath with separate shower and jaccuzzi tub, his and her vanity sinks and a large closet. Two more bedrooms with a shared hall bath complete this cottage.
At 1850 sq ft, besides having 3 bedrooms and 2 baths there is a bonus room that is perfect for a workout room, office or second living area.
According to the just released 2010 Lubbock MLS (Multiple Listing Service) realtor’s rankings, the top selling realtor of single-family homes in the metro area is Tana Patterson, Sales Manager for Vintage Township Real Estate.
“I absolutely love selling Vintage homes,” stated Ms. Patterson. “I attribute much of our success in sales to the lifestyle available here, as well as the uniqueness of the neighborhood. When I’m showing prospective buyers around, it’s not hard to sell them on the advantages of our community because they can actually see it for themselves—there are people out walking their dogs, children riding bikes and playing basketball; people really enjoying their neighbors and their beautiful homes.”
She added, “People also enjoy the diversity in home values. We offer homes starting in the $120’s and moving up to over $1 million.”
Vintage Township, in partnership with KCBD-TV, was proud to serve as a collection point for the 2010 U Can Share Food Drive. Vintage Township residents, as well as the community at large, were encouraged to bring cans of food and other nonperishable items to donate to the South Plains Food Bank when they attended the Vintage Winter Wonderland at Vintage Township during the month of December. Both day and night home tours, a silent auction and a raffle organized during the month were also designed to raise money for this worthy cause. As a result of these efforts, 1,738 pounds of food and a check for $1,610 were presented to David Weaver, Executive Director of the South Plains Food Bank.
The Vintage Institute is a not-for-profit organization responsible for, among other things, promoting a vital cultural life in Vintage Township, and developing programs which promote and strengthen the neighborhood.
While the Lubbock community has already proven generous in contributing 356,000 pounds of food and over $137,000 as part of the 28th annual U Can Share Food Drive, the giving doesn’t stop there. Vintage Township continues its inaugural partnership with KCBD and the South Plains Food Bank to serve as a collection site for the U Can Share Food Drive through December 28, and urges the community to continue its giving spirit by dropping off assorted canned goods or non-perishable food items at Vintage Township. A collection barrel is located one block south of 114th St. and Trafalgar Ave. Monetary donations can also be delivered to the Vintage Township Sales Center located at 12002 Trafalgar, Ste. 102.
The public is invited to join residents of Vintage Township for the dedication of Broadfield Court, the Garden Court in Phase I, on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. This special park will be dedicated to Mrs. Olivia Jones, one of the founding homeowners at Vintage Township, who passed away approximately a year ago.
“Mrs. Jones loved her family, her home, and really helped to create Vintage Township,” says Paul Stell, developer of Vintage Township. “She, like many homeowners, moved to Vintage Township to be near her family and believed in Vintage Township’s development. It is an honor to celebrate her joy for our community by dedicating this park to her.” Mrs. Jones moved to Texas from Portsmouth, Virginia, near Virginia Beach, in 2004.
The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes. In case of inclement weather, the dedication will be held on Sunday, October 31, at 2 p.m. Should you have questions or need directions to Broadfield Court, please call the Sales Center at Vintage Township at (806) 771-1117.
